Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY

Provide first line field technical support to computer system operators. Provide hardware and software repair and maintenance services to end users and Network Administrators. Act as first line trainer for user general applications and equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Provide user installations. Provide network connection, preparation of hardware; ensuring proper software is installed and user data integrity.

? Assist users to resolve hardware and software problems,

? Troubleshoot systems in the field and determining corrective actions.

? Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on computer systems.

? Repair/Replacement of computers; components and peripherals.

? Assist with repair/replacement of network components and cables.

? Conduct on-site/scheduled user proficiency training.

? Help Desk first line troubleshooting duty as requested.

? Provide feedback from users to track emerging/reoccurring problems.

? Maintain computer equipment, software, data and licensing in accordance with DOD Information Systems accreditation requirements.

? Prepare reports, studies and research as requested.

? Other duties as required or assigned.

 

Requirements:

Degree or certifications ( A+, Network +, Comp TIA preferred) in a computer science discipline or experience in lieu of education.

Five years of experience in computer repairs, maintenance and software troubleshooting.

Experience in network administration and UNIX, NT< WIN2000 operating systems.

SMS knowledge/usage a plus.

Experienced in maintaining workstations in network environments. 

Requires good customer interaction skills.

Understand Procurement processes and attention in meeting delivery deadlines.
