Customer Support

Customer Support Description: Manufacturer and distributor of commercial printers located in Edison, New Jersey is looking for a tech savvy individual to act as their System Application Engineer. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Customer Support:
-Provide Level 2 technical and product support for software developers, customers and distributors. (Level 1 being Tech support and level 3 being product engineer or software engineer).
-Responsible for outbound and incoming calls with prospective customers and software developers explaining our product offerings and benefits.
-Document customer and software developer communication regarding products, market and application requirements in company database
-Review trade publications, resource material, trade shows, Internet, company resources to identify prospective customers and software development opportunities.
-Provide technical and product assistance to support software developers, sales managers, customers and distributors.
-Communicate with Product Manager to resolve technical and product issues.
-Test and document new products, product features, utilities, and drivers.

Customer Communication (Training) coordination:
-Prepare and execute product training for their distribution network.
-Work with the Product Manager to deliver technical expertise and training to other departments
-Provide sales assistance, as required, to support sales managers, users and distributors. May involve visit to customer to solve issues.
-Prepare sales aids and demonstration software for product trainings performed by yourself, sales managers, and distributors.
-Create and Maintain "Fact Books" of all their Products.

Technical Marketing coordination
-Provide support for trade shows including setup, break down, product demonstrations, and technical support.
-Prepare, design and organize product demonstration and sales support materials for trade shows. Work closely with the Marketing coordinator to ensure that Tradeshows packing are done correctly.
-Create product documentation and technical application information for use by software developers, sales managers, distributors, customers, VARS and system integrators.
-Create and maintain competitive products comparison sheets.
-Gather product performance and customer satisfaction to allow further analysis by the product Manager.
-Keeps management informed by monthly reports on customer, market and distributor activity.




Requirements:
-Great written and oral communication skills
-Professional presentation skills with ability to overcome objections.
-Experienced Microsoft Office user.
-Fundamental computer interface, protocol, and flow control knowledge
-Excellent technical and software development skills a must.
-Knowledge of VB, C++,Linux and Mac OS a plus.
