DATA MANAGER

The selected candidate will design, install, and maintain data networks and perform system administration in support of Command and Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C4I) systems for the 46Test Squadron (46TS). The data technician will provide network engineering and management for 46 TS test labs and programs. The data technician will develop and write methods of test, test directives, technical or letter reports, and other test process documents as required in the conduct of testing. The data technician will conduct C4I testing, validation and verification testing, and modeling and simulation testing at Eglin AFB and other TDY locations. The data technician will attend meetings as necessary to provide briefings, information, and/or technical support.

Requirements:

This position requires experience in data network design and engineering as well as familiarity with Windows and Unix operating systems, Domain Name Service, Active Directory, Mail Services (Mail Exchange and sendmail). Experience with military local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) as well as familiarity with C4I systems operation is desired. The candidate should be familiar with Air Force C4I test methodologies to include test planning, data analysis, and final report preparation. Candidates should also be proficient in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Access). The candidate must have good interpersonal communications skills and be comfortable working in a team environment with customers.

Education:High school degree is required.
