Education: A Bachelors degree in CIS/MIS or other IT related studies

Experience: 3 plusyears

The DBA will report to the CAD Manager. The Candidate will be responsible for relevant deliverables within the Performance Based Contract.

The Candidate will perform the following functions:
Database Management
Administer database objects
In conjunction with the CAD Manager, create a collaborative Database of Engineering Drawings.
Assist developers, users and DBA's with database related issues
Research and resolve database system problems and issues
Web Application Management
Perform daily content updates.
Perform emergency content updates.
Provide ongoing internal QA
Develop and deploy new content on an as needed and pro-active basis.
Provide customer support as needed.
Business Continuation Planning
Provide for database backup, recovery and DR
Coordinate physical data storage needs with the storage manager

Skills and Qualifications
Three years of Access, Oracle and/or MS SQL DBA experience preferred
Three years of experience in web design/development preferred
Two years of z/OS experience preferred
Demonstrated experience working in a team environment to accomplish aggressive goals.
Demonstrated experience meeting strict deadlines.
Portfolio of completed projects
Proficient with database and SQL performance tuning;
Strong understanding of database structures, etc.
Apache Web on Linux platform
Microsoft IIS
J2EE/JAVA development environment
PERL Scripting, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Travel: Travel may be required to various sites within the NCR where system components exist.
