DESKSIDE SUPPORT

Special Skill Requirements:

System administration familiarity on key product software such as eFAx, eCopy, NAS, Citrix, Symantec Antivirus, etc as well as familiarity with client testing and controlled rollout, knowledge and ability to use SDT tool, etc.


Resource required to provide onsite deskside support for Hitachi GST client.  Requires ability to troubleshoot, isolate and resolve desktop issues with application, software or hardware, Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, System adm

Desktop problem determination and resolution; ability to identify and isolate problems related to the desktop platform and/or application software; be the second level resource for escalation issues concerning Client issues
Perform root cause analysis and communicate effectively to customer and appropriate management personnel
Define and document technical procedures for the helpdesk to utilize in resolving problems
Ability to Perform System administration on servers and software as required.  Including but not limited to:
eFax server; monitoring and configuring as needed
eCopy systems connected to the Canon printers; Antivirus updates, OS patches, user administration
 Symantec Ghost administration; maintaining and configuring the Symantec Ghost server, create new images, restore from old images, create backups
NAS Terastation; system administration, monitoring, configuring, maintaining
Symantec Antivirus; system administration on server, monitoring, help to establish standards, pushing updates
Citrix Server administration and maintenance
ID management and reporting for specified systems
Image testing as new hardware is rolled out
Create/maintain software packages to be deployed using the SDT tool
Web page knowledge
