DMG Senior Associate - Data Architecture

Job Description -- The PwC Performance Improvement (PI) - Data Management Group Practice help clients maximize the return on their information technology investments through the alignment of their business processes with their technology activities.

DMG Data Architect -
Position will involve requirements gathering and documentation, data modelling and working closely with application developers and database administrators/developers. This individual will also be responsible for developing and/or documenting an existing overall data infrastructure in order to address both identified and potential organizational needs. The candidate must possess the ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, results oriented, team environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Mapping client databases into target mapping, environments efficiently
* Programming/scripting to execute database mappings
* Interfacing effectively with business in order to gain understanding of business data to ensure appropriate data migration
* Analyze client system and data architectures to propose solutions for effective application migration
* HIPAA EDI transaction migration to comply with regulatory requirements
* Team Lead with very strong programming skills involved in developing, implementing and maintaining Microsoft and Oracle based solutions.
* Perform diversely across various stages of application development - interfacing with business to gathering business requirements, writing out detail design and technical specifications in Microsoft based environments, leading and maintaining project plan and tasks, performing hand-on programming as required.
* Prioritize work among multiple assigned projects and ensure requirements are met as expected on time.
* Proactively identify inefficiencies in system use from a technique or process viewpoint and propose changes that may include process redesign and/or system enhancement.
* Perform production issue resolution and act as solutions lead/consultant
* Interpret advanced technical requirements, designs, and architectures to develop detailed program plans, including implementation risk mitigation, deployment, and contingency plans.
* Provide consulting support to process owners and project teams, including documentation and mapping of existing processes. Using best industry practices, conduct analysis of process improvement opportunities, definition and documentation of new processes and process improvements, and integration planning for technical project teams to support changes.
Support architecture and development teams through issue management, conflict resolution, resource management, estimating coordination, and corrective action planning. Serve as a catalyst in the resolution of complex system and business issues and oversee projects that are to solve these problems. Facilitate the creation of the business and systems requirements.

Job Requirement Essential

* Strong working knowledge of MS Project, MS Office and other advanced documentation software
* 3-5 years of experience with MS Access, SQL Server and Oracle
* 3-5 years of experience with Health Insurance billing systems and HIPAA transaction implementations
* 3-5 years of experience programming and leading solutions in large system/data conversions in health, care sector
* Ability to interact with developers, management, requirements analysts arid customers to define/clarify requirements, resolve issues and provide guidance in architecture, growth and long-term system strategy
* Excellent business and system analysis skills, effective communication skills, and a solid understanding of systems architecture. Will be expected to develop, extract, analyze, specify, validate, and document high-end analytics and processes, either internally or with a business partner
* 3-5 years of software lifecycle experience developing multi-tiered distributed application
* Solid knowledge of XML, XHTML, C++ and Oracle RDBMS for development efforts
* Understanding of data warehousing/reporting concepts/terminology
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment; to be flexible and learn quickly, multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
* 3-5 years of experience directly related with IT software and hardware engineering disciplines, covering the entire system lifecycle, from idea creation to production support
* Thorough knowledge of hardware and software deployment processes with ability to define and implement processes and identify gaps
* 3-5 years of experience in working with large-scale production system development, technical requirements, project management, implementation, and support
* Proficient in Software Requirements/Functionality docs, Software Requirement Management docs, Use Case Diagrams
