Tactical Systems Division - Integration & Test of Distributed Mission Training (DMT) Application / COTS




The Distributed Mission Training project provides several services to the Air Force. Portal Services is one such service which provides a hardware/software solution to interconnect diverse simulators at distributed locations for training. The hardware consists of Off-The-Shelf components such as Dell, Cisco, APC and others. Portal Services is looking for an energetic engineer interested in integrating hardware and software into one system and deploying that system in support of the DMT project.

This engineer will perform integration and test of software/hardware for simulation and training systems.? The preferred candidate has a background in testing, Modeling and Simulation (M&S) knowledge (DIS and HLA), Computer Generated Force (CGF) application experience, fundamental understanding of testing and techniques, scripting language experience, and automated testing. The integration portion of the position falls heavily on understanding M&S, how the Portal operates in this environment, and operating CGFs and simulation radios for testing purposes.

Integration efforts will take place within a dynamic team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Some travel will be required in the performance of these efforts.

The following are the Basic Qualifications for this position:

Window 2000/2003
Familiarity with Cisco Routers and Switches.
Experience with developing networked computer systems
Must have Secret clearance or able to obtain one
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience in the following areas is an asset:

Ability to develop user manuals
Dedication to completing the tasks completely
Self discipline to follow defined processes
Detail Oriented
MCSE certification
