Data Analysis Specialist

HighView Financial is seeking an experienced professional with a sound understanding of complex data analysis matters to work in the Electronic Discovery Practice in the Washington DC offices. Managing Consultants will work in a fast paced environment supporting forensic accounting and litigation projects. A successful candidate will possess experience or aptitude in all aspects of data analysis including, but not limited to, data identification, collection, normalization, restoration, conversion, culling and/or filtering. Sound understanding of relational databases, analytical and database/programming skills are required, specifically with writing queries in SQL.



Key Responsibilities:



Working in the identification and up-front data collection process in the field and within corporate data lab.

Performing systems analyses, exporting, importing and analyzing data from various software formats.

Designing & developing databases & data warehouses.

Performing data quality control.

Working with off-the-shelf and proprietary data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.

Developing ad hoc data reporting tools.

Working within the boundaries of an overall practice methodology and blueprint.

Ongoing analysis and deployment of best practices applicable to the data analysis practice area.

Ongoing analysis of industry technology trends to incorporate proven data investigation and supporting technologies into practice.



Professional Qualifications:



3 ? 5 years of practical experience with in the following areas: MS Oracle, SAS, MS-Access, C++, Java, ASP, COBOL, Audit Command Language (ACL), DOS, Windows (all versions), UNIX, and large scale computing platforms (AS/400, Mainframe).

Experience with the following toolsets is critical: SQL, SQL+, PLSQL, SQL Server / MS SQL Sever Analyses Services, .NET and Visual Basic/VBSCRIPT.

A knowledge of Data Junction, any OLAP tool, E/R Studio, Rapid SQL, Monarch, Crystal Reports, and Crystal Analysis is a plus, but not required.

Having an understanding of accounting, finance, and economics concepts are also a plus.

Industry certifications considered valuable to this position include: MCDBA, CFE, CISSP, PMI, Six Sigma, CPA, CFA.



Other Information:

Work efforts will be focused to the general metropolitan area. Travel will be required a minimum of 25% of the time.
