Data Analyst - Health

Ensynch is seeing a Data Analyst for 3 month contract with a great company in Phoenix. 

 

Summary/Position Objectives:

Provide administrative and technical support to the Data Analysis and Reporting Team under the direction of the Dir of Mgmt IS.  Compiles, manipulates and analyzes data in the development of routine and ad hoc reporting requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

-Analyze data and prepares annual reports for distribution to Quality Mgmt. Dept and DBHS: coordinates quarterly review of data to facilitate the development and implementation of qualify initiatives.

-Develops analytical tools, compiles data and analyzes outcomes to measure the effectiveness and adequacy of network for multiple lines of business.

-Gathers and organizes research data to meet routine and ad hoc reporting requirements.  Designs and prepares simple to moderately complex analytical reports and statistical documents on an as needed basis.

-Designs and develops operation-specific database applications to integrate data an reporting across various software programs and other data sources through the utilization of database tools for optimal end user results.

-Coordinates data collection and compilation for various special projects including but not limited to RFP's, Operational Reviews and Data Validations.

- Acts as a systems resource for the Quality Management and Information Systems Departments.

-Facilitates network mailings through document preparation and system demographic reporting.

- Performs other duties, assignments, and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Knowledge and Skills:

Complex choice of action- requires considerable logic, understanding to analyze problem and determine course of action.  Fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, graphs.  Knowledge of statistical methodologies.  Reads, writes, interprets, explains technical or complex information.  Must use tact diplomacy, and sensitivity in communications within and outside the organization.  Excellent verbal and written skills: ability to write well and succinctly at all reading levels.  Ability to design and/or develop health education and outreach materials.  Some knowledge of provider networks and managed care contracting.

 

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university preferably in the health related or related experience.  Three years in a health care environment and two years program design adn analysis capacity.  Strong PC skills with a working knowledge of work processing, spreadsheet, database applications such as MS Excel, MS Access, MS SQL, SAS, and SPSS.
