Data Analytics Engineer ? Center for Enterprise Modernization

Join our team and help develop and apply advanced approaches and technologies to solve our nation's most critical technological problems! Work with diverse customer groups to support system and data engineering of their large scale integration, modernization and re-engineering challenges.  The successful candidate will assist the project leader in performing engineering analysis, data architecture and data mining services.Key functions of this position include development of analysis procedures and provide quantitative analysis support.

 

Required Education/Experience

? BS in computer science, applied math or statistics or equivalent 

? 5 years of related experience

 

Required Skills

? Strong knowledge of  financial, mathematical, and statistical theory and practice

? Ability to effectively communicate quantitative topics and concepts

? Strong technical skills in database and statistical packages

? Statistical modeling

? Decision analytic techniques

? Data mining COTS tools

? Engineering analysis

 

Desired Skills

Candidate will exhibit leadership qualities, have prior experience working on a team to find solutions to client problems, and be able to provide guidance to other team members as needed. 

? 5 years data analysis experience

? Experience in research and development for predictive modeling and/or statistical analysis

? Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to deal with ambiguous situations as well as advanced writing, verbal, and presentation skills
