Responsibilities:

Information Technology is an integrated group of departments whose basic objective is to provide information, data processing, communications, process enhancements and systems to support the business and management objectives of Sentry.

Specifically, the incumbent in this position:

Develops and maintains the data models for the data warehouse environment, refining the business requirements into a technical design that supports the operational and analytical reports/cubes.

Other responsibilities include data warehouse system architecture, performance optimization, maintenance, and production support.

Other modeling duties include the development of an operational data store that is developed in tandem with a data warehouse.

Defines and ensures adherence to best practices by focusing on the implementation of effective controls and technical standards (i.e. data integrity, security, efficiency, etc).

Mentor others within the data architecture group on best practices and guidelines to follow when developing a data warehouse.

 

Qualifications:

? 3+ years of working experience as a data warehouse architect
? Knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and dimensional modeling.
? Proficient at database design (logical, physical, conceptual) for data warehousing environments
? Experience with industry standard data warehousing tools including; quality and analysis tools, SQL, etc...
? Working knowledge of reporting methods and tools (Business Objects preferred).
? In-depth understanding of Microsoft SQL server, Oracle, or DB2 database platform.
? Proficiency in data modeling products (ERStudio preferred)
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? A Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,  Engineering or a related field, or its equivalent through a combination of formal education and work experience required

 

Compensation and Benefits:

The starting salary can range from $70,000-105,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
