Location: Warrenville, IL
Type: 6 months contract opportunity

Responsibilities:
1. Planning:
- Work with Architecture, Business Change, Testing and Data Conversion team to agree on a plan for providing data content for testing, data migration/conversion and Reporting activities.
2. Analysis:
- Understand requirements for test data and data migration/conversion within the project.
- Identify data content to be extracted from a Refdata repository, Standard Codes Database and SAP.
- Create a standard template for analyzing and mapping data.
- Analyze data extracted from systems held in spreadsheets, SQL Server databases or MS Access or flat file formats; liaise with Business teams to verify data.
- Create completed mapping spreadsheets that map data content across various systems working in conjunction with the Business Change team.
3. Development:
- Develop mechanisms for extracting, collating, cleansing and importing data between legacy systems and new systems. Specifically data would have to extracted from Refdata, SCDB and SAP.
- Produce programs to carry out repeatable validations and checks against data. Tools need to be developed and configured to ensure the collated data changes are available in a form that can be used during system cutover/upgrade/migration activities. These activities require strong hands-on technical skills primarily with SQL and PL-SQL.
4. Assurance:
- Introduce and manage controls for monitoring status and quality of data migration / conversion / cleansing related activities on the project (version control, etc).
- Documenting processes where applicable.
5. Status Reporting:
- Align data migration / conversion / cleansing progress in line with project plan
- Document and report on status
- Raise issues and risks and propose risk mitigation solutions.

The role requires a number of working relationships with other teams within the Project:
- Architecture Team : to agree on high level approach for data migration, conversion, and cleansing; to agree on reporting approach.
- Business Analysts: to understand latest analysis thinking with regards to data within the project and to validate data migration activity in line with analysis
- Business Change Team: to ensure that lack of clarity with regard to data content can be resolved with business input and that any gaps in the data required for migration are populated
- Developers (SI team, ISC, AspenTech): to understand the status of various developments with respect to data migration / conversion / cleansing activities, especially if certain data migration / conversion / cleansing activities are dependent on specific pieces of development work. - Test Team: to produce any test data required and to understand when test environments may require refreshing with data from a migration / conversion / cleansing exercise. Coordinate testing the migration / conversion / cleansing with test team.
- Project Management: to report status, issues and risks back to the Project Management team and to understand progress within other workstream areas.
- Technical Implementation Team: to understand the implementation strategy and timings and where the data migration / conversion / cleansing fits into this process given that the aim of the data migration development is to satisfy the project implementation
- Environment & Infrastructure: to plan the deployments and data migrations to development, test and implementation environments

Qualifications:
- Minimum six years experience working in large-scale technical delivery programme environment, including detailed experience within technical data migration, data conversion, and data cleansing activities.
- Experience has to include at least one significant data migration / data conversion / data cleansing project involving the sourcing of data from multiple legacy systems into new systems architecture.
- Experience planning and successfully executing data migration, data conversion, and data cleansing activities per project schedule.
- Strong PL/SQL and general development skill
