Data Conversion Programmer

Primary Objective:

Convert complex relational data into ProLaw SQL databases in accordance with the standards set in Thomson Elite?s conversion methodology for ProLaw. Jointly responsible for the timely and cost effective completion of all assigned conversions.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

? Meet with Conversion Analyst, Project Manager and Clients to review sample maps and data

? Analyze data and determine methodology for conversions

? Ability to use various software tools to manipulate client data and populate ProLaw databases.

? Provide technical support to internal project manager, trainer and client to ensure that client?s overall conversions needs are met

? Prepare and submit required documentation throughout conversion process

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

? 1-2 years work experience

? 12 months with relational databases; SQL desired

? Detail oriented

? Read and decipher complex instructions

? Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

? Time management skills

? Ability to work under pressure with tight scheduled

? Complex problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

? Self-motivation and ownership of assigned work

? Work independently within team environment

? Foster knowledge share access applications

? Technical knowledge of windows networks

 

Desired Qualifications:

? Understanding of complex database environments

? SQL programming experience

? Knowledge of general accounting principles
