MonsterCommerce, a Network Solutions company and leading provider of E-commerce Solutions for small to medium sized businesses, is currently looking for the right Data Architect to join our team in Swansea, Illinois.  This person will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of our application database models.  In addition, they will implement structure and data changes, database and SQL tuning, database installation/upgrades and manage database models of the highest quality. They will perform detailed data analysis and translate business data requirements into modeled designs.  They will work with Project Managers, Database Administrators and Application Development team members to develop data modeling standards and best practices. 

 

Application databases will be implemented using MS SQL Server so they must be well-versed in MS SQL Server and its associated client tools. 

 

Job Requirements:

? Minimum of 3-5 years experience developing relational database models

? Working experience with MS SQL Server, Erwin Data Modeler and AllFusion Model Manager, UML and XML

? Good knowledge of OLTP and OLAP

? Extensive experience with designing, developing, implementing and maintaining application specific databases

? Experience performing and defining procedures for reorganizations and performance tuning of the database environments

? Experience defining and implementing methods and procedures that provide the highest availability of the databases to the developer and end-user applications

? Previous experience defining the naming standards and the enforcement of these standards for the application databases

 

Education:

? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
