Overview
Praeos Technologies, www.praeos.com is expanding! We have an immediate need for full time permanent Data Warehouse Data Architect/Manager Consultants on the west coast. The Data Warehouse Data Architect/Manager will analyze, re-engineer, and maintain the enterprise-wide view of the data. This person will also analyze information requirements specified by the user community and design the required data structures to support those requirements. The ideal Data Warehouse Data Architect/Manager will meet and/or exceed the following requirements:
Required Skills
6 + years experience as a data architect in both OLTP and OLAP environments 4 + years experience with Erwin modeling tools Experience with at least one large data warehouse project in the role of Lead Data Warehouse Architect Hands on experience with metadata standards creation In depth knowledge of both relational and dimensional modeling concepts Experience creating data warehouse architecture strategies including refresh, archive, model management, and security strategies Able to assist ETL developers with data mappings and understanding the data model General knowledge of BI tools Able to communicate effectively with both IT users and business users Able to perform data quality checks and assist with resolution of data issuesExperience working in all phases of a structured SDLC processExperience in developing and implementing a version/release strategy for data models in conjunction with other data warehouse processes such as ETL and data mart reporting

Hands-on development work with Informatica Strong working knowledge of SQL Experience with UNIX operating system and script development BI Tool administration and OLAP development Able to perform hardware and software sizing and selection
