This position is responsible for providing internal user support as well as assist application developers in the design and maintenance of large scale relational databases.

 



Essential Responsibilities:

 

1. Minimum of 4-years experience w/MS SQL Server 2000 in a busy production environment including 4+ years w/ecommerce and/or dynamic web-based db-driven application.

2. Attention to detail ? take data seriously.

3. OLAP/Analysis Services experience a definite plus

4. Experience in designing, efficiently populating and maintaining large-scale data warehouses.

5. Extensive experience working with and designing complex DTS packages.

6. Experience working with very large tables in production OLTP systems.

7. Server hardware experience.

8. Experience building and managing database server clusters using MSCS.

9. Experience partitioning data and configuring federated clusters.

10. Fluent in SQL and writing stored procedures, triggers, functions and complex queries.

11. Experience working in a 24x7 environment with on-call responsibility.

12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

13. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related field - or equivalent experience.

? Data partitioning.

? T-SQL / ANSI SQL.

? TCP/IP Networking.

? Microsoft Cluster Services.

? Experience documenting and managing projects.

? Ability to effectively work with clients and vendors maintaining a positive relationship with both.

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

? Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related field - or equivalent experience.

? Microsoft Certified Database Administrator a plus
