Database Administrator (SQL)

Database Administrator      

Must be a U.S. Citizen      

The Database Administrator provides database expertise, technical support and analysis to assist with the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and production support of our client?s databases.

 

Qualifications:

"Minimum of 5 years experience as a Database Administrator required; MCDBA Certification a plus;

"Comprehensive knowledge of database administration (design, installation & troubleshooting) of current MS SQL Server 2000;

"Experience performing indexes and stored procedure tuning, handling security, backups and recovery;

"Experience with multidimensional modeling and development;

"Experience with SQL and stored procedures;

"Experience with Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS);

"Experience in the design of relational database structures;

"Experience with SQL Server disaster recover planning a plus;

"Experience with SQL Server clustering a plus;

"Experience with Replication a plus;

"At least one year of HMO experience preferred;

"Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related area;

"Master degree preferred;

 

Duties and

Responsibilities: 

Extracts, transforms and loads data from disparate data sets to ensure the effective and efficient storage, retrieval, customization, and archiving of data.

Develop database schema, stored procedures, functions, scripts and processes for databases.

Perform data analysis and data design to support business and performance requirements.

Write detailed design specifications documents.

Regularly maintain and troubleshoot databases, work effectively with other team members to identify and address problems.
