Database Administrator Systems Support

Seeking IT Professional for long term opportunity as a DBA. Primary responsibility would be to assist in DBA tasks associated with DB2 databases. Need to work closely with software development team to develop database design and support required database changes. Manage and oversee daily and weekly database backup procedures. Develop triggers and stored procedures. Provide technical assistance to developers on SQL and stored procedures development. Assist in migration of databases from Sybase to DB2. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and work independently as well as part of the team. Must have stored procedures, DB2 and some design expierence
