Database Administrator with Oracle Financials experience

  JOB SUMMARY:     Primary responsibilities include infrastructure management, database administration, systems administration, technical support, security management and audit compliance, production and operational readiness activities throughout the design, development and implementation of information technology projects. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 
Support the functional IT teams with design and implementation of hardware, software, and database related technologies
Perform monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, patching, systems admin, database admin, capacity planning etc., for Oracle databases and related systems and applications.
Evaluate, select, design and implement new systems

? Provide off hours systems support as and when required.
Ensure stability of the information technology infrastructure.
Assist with other Infrastructure team activities such as Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
Recommend and implement changes to policies and procedures affecting use of business systems
Maintain technical infrastructure reference documents such as technical architecture, interface references, hardware and software assets.

? Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent education and experience

? 3+ years experience in systems analysis, design, build and implementation.

? 2+ years experience in Oracle, SQL Server, Unix and Windows.

? 2+ years experience in Client Server and Web Server computing.

? 2+ years experience in scripting languages such as Perl, Bourne Shell, KSH

? 2+ years experience in job scheduling, data extract and load.

? Experience with Oracle Financials, EAI tools, VMS/Alpha systems (DCL scripting) and Linux is a plus.

? Basic understanding of programming languages.

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

? Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both independently and as a team member.

? Must possess good problem solving skills and excellent written and oral communication skills. 

? Must be able to work in a smoke-free and drug-free workplace.

? Must be willing to commit to a minimal level of travel.
