Database Documentation Specialist - MG1169-C

We have an excellent opportunity available for a Database Documentation Specialist. This position will be based at our headquarters in Ashburn, VA.

The successful candidate will: assist in the day to day administration and support of the Microsoft SQL database; support various activities as they pertain to the database, such as record keeping, data entry, data analysis, processes and maintenance activities on government equipment which is installed as part of worldwide infrastructure; participate in developing supporting documentation and processes to enhance the databases functionality and reliability; resolve data discrepancies through phone, online and direct communication with the installed customer database; and, develop and maintain supporting detail of information for inclusion in monthly reports.

Responsibilities: works with the Installer personnel, Maintenance personnel, end users and other contractors in order to collect data for the database; uses the database tool to enter, correct, maintain and track the status of data in the site and system inventory and configuration database, site action database and delivery/task order status database; data entry into database.

Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience, 1yr. of which must be specialized experience including data entry into databases; Proven experience in personnel interfacing skills; Must have experience with, or training in, data entry into and creating/running reports from databases using MS SQL* Server, Crystal Reports and MS Access. The successful candidate will be subject to a government security investigation, must be a U.S. citizen, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
