Deloitte Audit Technology- Application Architect

The Application Architect is responsible for working in a team, working closely with the business analysts, providing leading-edge software Architecture & design using Microsoft .Net technology. The candidate should possess the ability to both create and clearly articulate the optimal design to meet the project objectives. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Define overall application architecture
- Create High level design specifications
- Guide detailed design and implementation
- Resolve architectural issues
- Select core application technologies
- Define application technology roadmap
- Ensure code reusability
- Research & analysis of
new & upcoming technologies to provide strategic architectural direction
- Design Enterprise application integration
- Design External application integration
- Conduct Build vs. buy Analysis
- Participate in Design Reviews enforcing architectural principles and design patterns
- Architectural co-ordination between Infrastructure, data architecture and overall architecture

- 5+ year experience designing and developing distributed or client-server applications using VISUAL STUDIO.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML, HTML, COM+, C#, .NET Internet Security
- 3+ years Extensive hands-on experience with .Net
- Understanding of SOA and OO design methods
- 3+ year experience in SQL (writing stored procedures, TSQL, schema design)
- Ability to work well in team environment
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.? Capable of meeting and dealing directly with business clients.
- Understanding of software development life cycle
methods.
- EAI and ETL experience is a plus
- Computer Science/Engineering degree preferred.?
- Application development in Microsoft Windows 95/98/2000/XP environment.
Additional desired skills:
- VB, VB.NET, COM, DHTML, VBScript, JavaScript, ActiveX, ADO, MSOffice, VSTO
- Familiarity with UML and Use Cases
