Delphi Developer

TekPartners is working with an established client that has an immediate need for (2) Delphi developers in New Jersey for a long term contract (1-2years!!).

 

This position's purpose is to develop Delphi financial application programs leading to the effective and efficient delivery of quality technology solutions. 

 

This position reports to the Director of Development.

 

Skills:

?  Delphi in a Win 32 or .Net environment

?  T-SQL

?  Unix

?  Some Java

?  Corba  

?  Experience in a financial industry

 

Technical Expectations/Professional Practices:

?  Develop and support applications using Delphi/Pascal programming language on Win32 or .NET platform

?  Write T-SQL queries and stored procedures necessary to complete assignments

?  Any other duties deemed as necessary by the immediate Supervisor or designee

 Tools to be provided by Software Development:

?  Position will be provided with a Development Desktop computer

?  Position will provide a professional work space

?  Position will be proficient in the use of the following software:

o Microsoft Office ? Word, Excel and PowerPoint

o Borland Delphi

 

 Education Requirements:

?  BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent in related training and experience

 

Previous Work Experience: 

?  Minimum of 3 years recent related experience in Delphi

?  2 years experience with Sybase or other relational DB

?  Integration experience of Win32 platform applications with UNIX, platform applications a huge plus

?  Experience in financial industry preferred

?  JAVA, CORBA and UNIX programming experience also a plus

 

Specific Knowledge / Skills:

?  Some understanding of the basics of financial industry (subject, processes) a must

?  Experience with Fixed Income, Derivatives, Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, OTC instruments, curves and price models(Helpful)

?  Demonstrated knowledge and skill in leadership

?  Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written English
