We seek an experienced Desktop Customer Service Engineer II to join our Information Technology team. This position is located in our Ontario, CA office.

Responsibilities:

? Maintaining systems to include existing hardware and software on the network and stand-alone PCs

? Installing and configuring new hardware and software for network and stand-alone PCs; troubleshooting and resolving any hardware or software problems on network and stand-alone systems or PCs

? Conducting adds, moves and changes to network and site equipment and maintaining inventory of all computer hardware and software

? Sustaining daily operations of site network and desktop systems, ensuring all daily, weekly and monthly procedures are completed, and system documentation is completed. This position may be additionally responsible for select telephone communications equipment and/or support.

? Proactively monitoring systems for potential problems and bottlenecks, ensuring timely resolution of operational problems

? Maintaining rotation schedule of system backups, and ensuring restore and recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested

? Participating in regular team meetings with site management to coordinate activities with other IT groups

? Preparing activity and progress reports for management

? Researching, creating and maintaining work instructions in support of standard operating procedures

 

Minimum Requirements:

? Minimum 4 years experience in a fast-paced help desk or customer support work environment; small site management experience, a plus.

? Minimum 4 years experience providing technical assistance to end-users for application, MS Office and operating systems support and ability to diagnosis PCs for system/printer issues

? Minimum 4 years experience with Microsoft 98/2000/XP; server experience a plus.

? MCP, MCSE, STI certification desired

? College degree in computer science or related degree or experience, plus high school diploma and technical training desired

? Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service

? Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks concurrently

? Ability to accept contacts, evaluate and escalate according to the support matrix provided by manager

? Ability to communicate effectively, calmly and patiently with all users or peers in a professional manner in both verbal and written communications

? Valid driver's license with proof of insurance if required to drive own car on the job
