ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reviews PC/LAN performance and troubleshoots problems when necessary.
Ensures that PC/LAN security procedures are implemented and enforced.
Assists with the installation of all network software and set up of hardware.
Responsible for evaluating and recommending standard hardware and software applications for end users.
Arranges training for employees in stand alone PC environments.
Supports various departments by assisting with network issues or problems that may arise.
Receives through the helpdesk system and logs calls for technical assistance.
Seeks to resolve open helpdesk tickets in a timely and effective manner.
Plans and coordinates with other departments to obtain optimum utilization of equipment, machinery, and resources.
Accountable for all record-keeping as appropriate and in accordance with Stryker specifications.
Responsible for providing on-going direction and supervision to the PC/LAN support team.
Participates in the recruitment and hiring process for the team.
Sets and holds team responsible for appropriate performance metrics. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
2-4 years of PC/LAN experience preferred.
Must have a demonstrated ability to lead.
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Must be PC literate with appropriate certifications.
Strong customer service orientation.
Utilizes proper software and technological tools to maintain proper records.
Ability to use logical step by step procedures to meet job requirements.
Must be able to work independently and diagnose/resolve problems while administering the network system.
Job demands include prolonged sitting, may need to stoop, bend and stand as appropriate.
Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.
Meets cognitive demands to include visual discrimination/memory, auditory discrimination/memory reading ability, independent decision making and retention of specific knowledge.
Requires use of safety glasses in designated areas. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
