The Desktop Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining all BBC desktop computers, laptop computers, related software and accessories. This position is also responsible managing BBC?s IT Help Desk, assisting with help desk activities and coordinating IT training resources.

Ingredients to a successful Contracts Manager:

* Supervises a help desk comprised of two full time co-ops, which includes recruiting co-ops from nearby universities, training them, assigning tasks, managing priorities, following up on issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Provides second-tier technical support to sales, Boston brewery and office (both PC and Macintosh platforms) including advanced data recovery methods, network configurations, and telecom issues.
* Manages BBC hardware and software inventory to include planning of upgrades and replacements in compliance with organizational policy.
* Provides backup support for the Network Engineer through the development of skill redundancies
* Manages and participates in IT projects, offering skills and insights in an effort to bring value to the organization by leveraging BBC?s technological infrastructure
* Fulfills all hardware and software purchasing requests in a timely cost efficient manner.
* Ensures all software is appropriately licensed.
* Documents procedures and maintains standards to ensure smooth operation and direction in the absence
of the Desktop Administrator.
* Adheres to IT department policies and procedures when performing tasks so as to ensure controls are in
place and departmental goals are met.

To be mixed with:

* 1-2 years of IT related experience. with help desk or computer customer service experience.
* Help desk or computer customer service experience required
* Bachelor's degree in a computer related discipline or equivalent experience required
* Experience with PC hardware and software is a plus
