Desktop and Exchange Administrator

The qualified candidate will work on a team of technical professionals responsible for supporting and monitoring Microsoft Exchange computer systems, user desktops and software in a 7x24 environment across North America.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the planning, implementation, monitoring and management of a mixed and complex environment consisting of Microsoft Windows Server NT/2000/2003, Exchange 5.5/2000/2003 and Cisco Network devices. They must possess proficiency, technical understanding and hands-on experience with Windows NT/2000/2003, Active Directory and Exchange 5.5/2000/2003

Organized, detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills with a proven ability to foster communication and collaboration across departments and across a wide range of skill sets, using a variety of approaches.
Possess an understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
Demonstrate the ability to be creative and effective in finding solutions to complex problems, balancing immediate and long-term needs.
Possess documentation skills needed to create procedures, policies, standards and processes within the IT organization.
Experience in the day to day support of a Windows NT 4.0/2000/2003 Infrastructure (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
Experience in the day to day support of Exchange 5.5/2000/2003.
Experience in the support of Dell, HP/Compaq and Sun server hardware.

Experience in supporting desktop users on the phone across North America.

Experience with FTP servers.

Experience with remote access troubleshooting (VPN )
Experience with the logging and tracking of incidents/problems in the environment with a help desk system (i.e. Heat, Remedy, Clarify, etc.)
Experience with Veritas NetBackup .
Ability to participate in a 7x24 on-call support function and to work overtime.Occasional travel may be necessary.

Education Requirements
Associate?s degree in Computer Science or similar discipline is required.
MCSE, MCSA and/or CCNA certifications preferred
