Job Description:
Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
*Provide detail design documentation, development, unit testing and maintenance of internally developed applications and externally purchased software products
*Write code for system designs that span platforms
*Code to and create Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
*Write detailed technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points
*Estimate project timelines and resources required to complete programming projects
*Perform unit testing and debugging and set test conditions based on code specifications
*Support application throughout the Product Development life cycle
*Review and conduct vendor research and product gap analysis comparison
Job Requirements:
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
*3 or more years of related experience using Java, J2EE, XSLT, XML, with distributed, multi-tier applications
*Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle, product development methodologies, database methodologies and system integration
*Demonstrated experience with AIX or UNIX operating systems
*Knowledge of coding design, documentation protocol, unit testing, change management and release procedures
*Demonstrated experience performance tuning and troubleshooting SQL
*Demonstrated experience using IBM DB2 UDB 8.X.
*PC Skills
Job Experience:
Business Specific Criteria (Preferred):
*Bachelor's degree related to Information Technology
*Healthcare Industry knowledge
*Knowledge of Avolent Application Suite
*Experience with IBM Webshpere Application Server, WebSphere Studio Application Developer, and WebSphere MQ
*Experience with Rational Clearcase versioning tools and ClearQuest defect tracking software
*Mainframe experience
*Client Server & Web experience
