Developer III MIS (Java)

 

Responsibilities: 

 Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, and implements new and enhancement projects for multiple application areas.  Acts as a consultant to business owners.  Develops and maintains source code.  Develops and maintains project schedules.  Communicates status updates.  Leads lower level employees.  Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of seven years systems development experience.
Fundamental knowledge of programming languages.
Experience in a complex, large company environment.
Strong verbal and written skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Overview:
The Senior Developer?s primary responsibility will be to contribute in both Development Unit Testing for new applications as well as existing applications enhancements

Responsibilities include:
* Commitment to seek resolution of any issue that would affect either our internal or external customers.
* Development on J2EE platform, integration with existing Oracle APIs via Java and PL/SQL interfaces
* Propose technical solutions for provided business specifications. This includes but is not limited too database design, programming environment suggestions, coding and design, formation of unit testing plans and deployment recommendations.
* Follow company development methodology cycle.
* Follow and provide industry standard software development process.
* Provide detailed documentation at the end of software development cycle for testing phase.

Skills:
* Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science (or related degree)
* Hands on experience in programming methodologies and languages (in either an academic or professional capacity).
* Experience implementing enterprise wide solutions using J2EE and Struts 1.1 or higher
* Proficient in both JSP and XML
* Experience with ECommerce applications essential.
* Experience in relational database design development
* Knowledge and understanding of Web Services and Service-Oriented Architectures
* Has developed and deployed solutions against extensive Internationalization (I18n) and Localization (L10n) requirements.
* Past experience in the development and implementation of large and complex ecommerce software applications in ASP, .NET, COM, and VB.
* Experience developing in a team environment in JDeveloper 9.x, 10.x or Rational Application Developer (RAD 5, 6) is essential
