Development Manager / Software Engineer, Senior

Define the development architectures and environments to include programming languages, development tools, and coding standards that span current and future opportunities.

Ensure the integrity of the application environment and data.

Responsible for development of highly trained and productive development staff that is a valuable asset to HPI

Provide technical leadership to development teams.  Current technologies deployed include J2EE, C#, Visual Basic, Database development, SQL, Delphi, Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL/SERVER, and many other tools.

Implement work products that have adequate controls, monitoring, documentation, recovery, and integrity to ensure quality and predictability.

Oversee, lead, and coach team members to ensure projects are developed on time and consistent with all team and organizational guidelines, standards, and processes.

Managing stakeholder expectations.

Lead the development and maintenance of work products that are high quality with a goal to be near defect-free.

Develop work products that are standardized and can be shared.

Work with PMO to ensure effective resource allocation and ensure that expectations are being met.

Coordinate with other SelectHealth and Intermountain Healthcare development teams and management to leverage work products, knowledge, skills, and standards.

Ensure the development staff notifies management when issues are identified that can impact stakeholder expectations or productions issues

Establish an environment where the development team can deliver results.

Coordinate with SelectHealth managers and development team to assure applications are supported as needed.

Ensure each member of the development staff is performing consistent with compensation and delivering quality work products.

 



Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree  in Computer Science with minimum of 5 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting Java applications for the Web and Desktop.
