Director Corporate Systems

CITY: Danbury STATE: Connecticut COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The IT Leader works closely with Commercial Finance leaders in the areas of Finance, Business Development, Legal, Sourcing, Communications & Human Resources to identify and maximize opportunities to improve business processes, promote the strategic use of information and enable the workforce to use information and technology. This position provides the leadership, vision, and direction for the implementation and support of corporate IT applications to help achieve Commercial Finance business objectives and requirements.
*Support functional leaders in Finance, Business Development, Sourcing, Legal, Communications, and Human Resources aligning functional requirements with IT strategies.
*Lead the worldwide deployment and support of a variety of applications chosen by the business to meet their objectives (such as: Oracle financials, HR, Purchasing and Hyperion).
*Provide overall management, technical, and financial direction for functional IT projects and develop solutions for complex business problems that require ingenuity and innovation.
*Lead a staff of ~25 IT professionals and 100+ GDCs in a growth driven environment supporting both Functional and CF business needs. Provide overall leadership, development and motivation to team including career planning and coaching in an inclusive environment.
*Facilitate communication between all key IT groups and the business community.
*Create and sustain understanding of business processes within Create and sustain understanding of business processes within the IT organization and the technology deployed to enable business processes.
*Maintain performance, availability, recoverability, and integrity for systems within their responsibility. Ensure compliance with SOX 404 and Controllership requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Minimum 10 years experience with IT processes.
*Bachelor's degree in IT, Business or related field.
*Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and implement new technologies and work processes. Effectiveness at driving sustained change.
*Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management.
*Experience in leading cross-functional work teams to develop efficient and effective technical solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
*Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams enabling development of employees for functional growth within the organization.
*High competency in project management and the execution of multiple large projects.
*Demonstrated effective communication skills at all levels of the organization and ability to matrix across business units and functions.
*Extensive experience in design and deployment of Oracle financial solutions.
*Experience in one or more software development lifecycle methodologies.
