Responsible for developing analysis strategy, working with a team of managers/engineers who conduct proactive analysis of the performance and availability of the network. Location can be either Mount Laurel, NJ or Philadelphia, PA.
Major Duties:
Conduct offline network analysis and predictive modeling of capacity, traffic, and key network attributes in support of data, voice, and video services.
Communicate requirements for analysis tools and work with tools organizations and vendors to identify and mature vendor and internal toolsets.
Develop network models in support of engineering backbone, regional, and access networks.
Support all network engineering organizations, operations and Comcast Divisions by providing engineers with data and analysis results/recommendations that are actionable and result in measurable improvements in network performance and standards.
Work with engineering organization to develop capacity "rulesets" within network that ensure network can sustain single points of failure. Validate that rulesets achieve availability expectations via capacity "failover" analysis, for voice, video, and data service performance requirements.
Provide oversight and communications with National Operations Center (NOC) on network events and outages. Work with NOC and engineering analysis group to identify component or software failure trends in network that affect SLA objectives.
Develop performance metrics and measurement techniques for services that require network connectivity with other vendor networks or services, e.g., voip peering, MSO peering, video content distribution and video streaming services.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Qualifications
10+ years experience in IP Network/Systems and Services with a focus on automation, proactive analysis and modeling.
Min. 8-10 years experience in successfully leading technical teams.
BS required in Engineering or Computer Science
5 + years in service provider networks
