Director, Project Management Office

Ideal candidates for this position will have led a PMO for 2+ years, gaining experience in project portfolio management, large scale implementations ($2 - 50 million), and project management methodology. The challenge is to coordinate and manage the scope, timing, and budget of multiple large-scale projects to achieve the IT Project Management Office?s organizational goals. You?ll oversee evaluation and prioritization of proposals and ensure that projects reflect strategic directions, provide value, are risk-manageable, stick to schedules, and are fiscally managed.

The goal is to provide a measurable, consistent, and client-focused approach to program and release management with end-to-end accountability, and consistent content and execution of all IT projects. You will assist project teams with change management, project coaching, and training on processes and tools. Provide regular analysis and feedback on all project phases to CIO and IT Directors.

We require a BS in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus; MBA degree or equivalent. PMP certification, extensive project management experience and 10+ years of progressive, broad-based information systems and business experience essential. A solid understanding of the project life cycle process, including initiation, requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control is a must. Experience in software engineering development and application testing is highly desirable. Prior health care experience in a matrix organization preferred.
