The Director of the AdServing team directs the development and support of the Advertising.com flagship platform. The leader of this team will be directing the activities of 10 to 20 engineers, integrating new technologies into the mainstream set of Advertising.com applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Directs a team responsible for the development and maintenance of the AdServing suite of applications
? Ensure that the organization and leadership of the AdServing team is consistent with the requirements and demands of the Advertising.com environment
? Develop plans for the development and incorporation of new features into the server system components.
? Ensure that the team incorporates and exhibits attention to best practices as germane to the Advertising.com System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
? Perform day to day management of development team activities, maintaining plans for the evolution of Advertising.com software products.
? Coordinate with systems, operations and project management teams to ensure that the development group is meeting corporate needs.
? Ensure that team members have sufficient skills to meet demands of job. Where shortcomings exist, develop and implement training plans to ensure team has appropriate skill sets.

Skills:
? Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous assignments.
? Ability to rapidly acquire and apply technical details and concepts, particularly as applied to distributed and scalable system architectures.
? Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
? Excellent management skills, with a proven track record of organizing teams and mentoring key individuals to form high-functioning team environment.
? Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and guide systems engineers and developers.

Education/Experience:
? Bachelor?s degree in either Engineering or Computer Science. Advanced Degree a plus
? Experience in developing distributed and network based system applications.
? Experience in development and delivery of 24x7 mission critical systems
? Experience working in an environment that employs clearly documented development processes.
? Solid understanding of object oriented development practices, with experience in C++, Java, and or C#.
? Ten years of related experience, with at least 3 years of management experience with progressively increasing authority/responsibility
? Experience in line management of software development organizations
