The FHRS Integrated Application Delivery group, within the FHRS Technology organization, is looking for an energetic, results oriented Director of Software Engineering/Development Management to lead a variety of FHRS development initiatives. Responsibilities:Technology Leadership: Take leadership role in setting strategic technical direction for various FHRS Integrated Applications. Project Management: Plan and manage multiple system development projects utilizing the FSDM system development methodology.  Lead cross-company/cross functional project teams through the project life cycle; from requirements definition to product installation. Prioritize tasks appropriately; apply management control; maintain staffing plans, manage to budget; communicate issues to appropriate levels of management. Relationship Management: Build positive relationships with key business and systems partners. Facilitate resolution of issues related to the systems development process. Team Builder: Hire and develop talent for current and future organizational needs. Foster teamwork and collaboration.

 

Strong technology background – Java, .Net, Oracle, Documentum, Filenet, Application Architecture, Web Services, B2B, .etc. Strong project management skills demonstrated for challenging client, complex inter-related or technically oriented projects. Experience in demonstrating leadership/influence and collaboration in a matrix-managed environment, and across multiple and diverse groups. Strong communications skills. Results oriented attitude and approach Critical thinker with excellent judgment and initiative. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers. Experienced in technology planning and portfolio management Team leadership with excellent consensus building and negotiation skills Provide strategic direction, influence senior management and lead team towards strategic goals Well organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. Strong staff management and professional development experience Experience in financial services, and/or employee benefits services. 7-10 years in systems project management experience, preferably in financial services BS in Computer Science
