Director, Project Management, Data Analysis

 

Strategic Business Analysis (SBA) is a department of Enterprise Technology and Architecture Group (ETAG) in Fidelity Investments Systems Company.  SBA's responsibilities include e-business analysis, WWW competitive assessment, online behavioral analysis, and primary consumer research.  Applications focus on ideation, concept testing, and evaluation of new research and analysis solutions.

 

We have an opening for a qualified individual to assume a key role in consumer and competitive analysis.  Leveraging a broad range of solutions, s/he will provide insights grounded in analytics to guide strategic decisions regarding e-business opportunities.

 

Specific responsibilities include a mix of consulting, project management, and hands-on research and analysis, as outlined below:

-   Drive project life cycle of assessing business objectives, developing research briefs, selecting an optimal methodology, developing research vehicle, conducting analyses, and presenting results to business and technology partners and co-strategizing on implications for ongoing development

- Facilitate consumer co-development by integrating research and analysis into the design and development of new Web offerings and technologies

-   Work with business and technology partners to consult on research solutions, including the deployment of a Web User Panel for a broad range of research techniques

- Evaluate features/functions, technologies, and positioning of Web offerings from traditional and non-traditional competitors to assess best practices and emerging offerings

-   Lead structured testing studies for the integrated assessment of online consumer behaviors and sentiments to benchmark and enhance user experience

- Work with vendors to explore new solutions, conduct vendor due diligence, and manage on-going contracts






Successful candidate must have strong analytical skills, broad business perspective, and sound judgment.  S/he must be proactive and resourceful in formulating innovative approaches to gathering data and synthesizing information to derive business insights.  Strong relationship management and consulting skills to assess business needs and co-strategizing on solutions are critical.


 


Specific requirements include:


- 8+ years of relevant professional experience, including experience in Web design and development processes


- Proven track record in driving Web user experience improvements through research and analytics


- Experience in Web measurements and statistical analysis


- Working knowledge of concept prototyping using DreamWeaver, Fireworks, or similar tools


- Consulting/agency experience


- Vendor management and contracting experience a plus


- Well organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
