Director of Data Warehousing

?  Client?s Corporate Comptrollers Department is seeking a Director of Data Warehousing to support development and implementation of an enterprise-wide Financial Systems platform. 

?  Incumbent will conceive the idea for and create a large scale data warehouse that will support a broad audience.

 

Responsibilities for the position include:

?  Oversee a team of database administrators and architects who will provide administration and technical support.

?  Interface with DBA team to establish database connectivity.

?  Work with systems vendors? technical support to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

?  Provide technical support to the applications staff in defining objects to insure databases effectively support the business unit?s objectives.

?  Lead the design and implementation of high volume, flexible transactional systems working with OLAP tools.

 

Skills/Experience Required:

?  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 

?  Knowledge of financial/accounting systems is required.

?  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

?  Ability to develop work plans and execute them.

?  Demonstrated experience managing a team of 3-6.

?  Advanced knowledge of popular RDBMS systems such as Oracle, Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server.

?  Knowledge of an ERP desired.

?  Knowledge of database tools including ERwin.

?  Experience in using DBA tools to perform proactive monitoring of servers, recommend improvements to servers and SQL.

?  Support application DBA responsibilities on the database server.

?  Willingness to learn new technologies and processes to add continued value to the development team.
