Director of Information Systems

    Join one of the premier furniture retailers in the country as the Director of  Information Systems in our Groveport, Ohio corporate office.  Reporting to the CFO, this highly visible position is a blend of project management, business analysis, hands-on programming, and flawless execution.

 

As the Director of Information Systems, you will be responsible for:
Recommending and planning hardware/software technology to support and meet company objectives
Directing the implementation and execution of system/software enhancements through the use of well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability
Participating in the business analysis, design, programming, implementation and maintenance of systems
Ensuring hardware/software are efficiently utilized and are compliant with company and government guidelines
Day-to-day management of networking, hardware/software, programming personnel

 

Successful candidates will possess the following:

 
A minimum of a Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related field
6+ years experience in application programming coupled with 4+ years project/people management
Ability to handle multiple assignments from corporate and field personnel
Ability to evaluate projects and assign priorities
In-depth knowledge of Windows, ASP, Oracle and SQL
In-depth knowledge of .NET technologies including ASP.NET, VB.NET
Ideally have experience in retail and GERS application knowledge
