Director of Information Systems and Operations


Unique opportunity to build a team, policies, systems, and processes for a well established small company whose IT infrastructure is a ?fixer-upper?. We have the capital budget approved to make improvements, now we need the leader to help shape and execute the improvements. We are looking for a strong leader with the vision and ability to make balanced tradeoffs between solutions, business requirements, budgets, and staff.


Key Responsiblities


? Manage technology infrastructure to accomplish business objectives
? Hire and manage IS staff of between 4 ? 7 people
? Develop and implement key IS policies, including access and control security, 24x7 support, networking, backups, redundancy, business continuity?
? Manage IS projects
? Manage external vendors
? Administrative activities associated with management of operations


Qualifications


? Strong leader, excelling in driving results, relationships, and thought leadership
? At least three years experience having managed an IT/IS operations group of at least five people, including network, security, and systems engineers
? Hands-on technically savvy with a can-do attitude of building complete solutions that meet business needs
? Strong project management skills
? More than seven years experience as an engineer or leader within an IT/IS organization supporting high availability enterprise systems for clients or customers
? Strong systems, networking, and storage background
? Cisco, Windows experience is required
? EMC, Oracle, Linux, VMWare experience is a plus
? Bachelor?s degree required
