Director of Quality Info. Systems (Manufacturing)

Our client is seeking a Director of Quality Information Systems (Manufacturing). This person provides the leadership and technical direction for business objectives through the use of information technology and/or business process engineering; develops strategy and plans to ensure IT alignment with the Manufacturing / Quality business functions, optimizes cross-functional processes for improved information and application integration, and drives IT projects to on-time completion in a consistent appropriately validated, fiscally responsible manner; and will be the liaison with the business unit managers to guarantee the business objectives dependent on IT are met. This person identifies opportunities for optimization, and prioritizes projects amongst the divisions and functions. This person will manage partnership with other divisions and functions through continuous communication, collaboration, and delivery of agreed upon results; and is responsible for feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and the implementation of new and revised application features and functionality. This person is responsible for the dynamic allocation of IT resources through the use of a transparent portfolio management process that is aligned with derived business value. This person delivers information management solutions within a lifecycle process that promotes quality and consistency, provides architectural vision, support, quality assurance, and best practices for project teams, and leads a diverse group of IT professionals, in an environment of constantly increasing demand for improved utilization of technology at nominal increase in cost to the company. In addition, this person continuously challenges staff to improve their skill and develop in new areas, maintains current knowledge of trends in IT from a technology perspective as well as organizational and end-user perspectives.

A Masters in Computer Science or MBA is required. 8 - 10 years of business experience in successfully managing large IT projects is required. The ideal candidate will have a PMP certification and a solid understanding of project management methodologies in a regulated environment. 5+ years of previous experience deploying Oracle or SAP ERP applications is required. Experience with portfolio management is desired.
