The Director of Software Development is responsible for planning systems and software programming strategies; must drive overall implementation, development and maintenance of third party systems and internally developed systems. Areas of responsibilities include enhancements and problem identification/resolution, database management and data analysis/reporting. As a member of the senior IT management team, the Software Development Director is expected to foster an environment in which team members are extremely productive, must have the ability to quickly assess departmental personnel needs, capacity and competency.

Additional Responsibilities include:

1.Oversee superior performance of personnel managing or delivering technical expertise in all IT management areas.
2.Establish, communicate and drive strategic and tactical level goals for the software department in alignment with customer and organizational priorities.
3.Oversee the preparation of project staffing estimates, and monitor project status and skill set projects.
4.Analyze and report critical metrics during all phases of the software product lifecycle and process maturation.
5.Help develop and manage the IT Strategic Plan
6.Business Process Support
7.Facility IT layout planning and management.

Required Skills:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or technical degree is required. Ten or more years experience in the corporate environment with ten or more years in a management capacity leading IT Development efforts. Leadership experience in IT organization with 20 or more direct employees. Full competency to analyze complex multi-dimensional problems, determine relevant parameters and create focused solutions with a deep understanding of one or more project management methodologies. Experience implementing one or more ERP systems. Experience fairly well balanced between Applications and Infrastructure. Strong technical, organizational, managerial, leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills. Solid strategic orientation with strong tactical skills. Collaborative team building approach to solve complex technical and service delivery issues. Sarbanes-Oxley IT compliance experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and interact with all levels of employees and vendors.
