Director of Web Operations

eHarmony.com is looking for a solution oriented technical Web Operations Director who can manage a high-volume, 24x7 website and application environment and provide leadership to a high paced operations team. 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

? Manage the operation of multiple large scale, 24x7 with page views of 350 million pages per month

? Manage back-end systems including credit card processing systems and high-volume batch processes

? Manage email systems with email distribution in excess of 30 million messages per month

? Manage network administration and system administration teams with multiple co-location environments

? Manage backups for an environment with multiple high-volume databases and 15 million+ files

? Manage application administration including configuration and load testing

? Manage deployment of web applications for multiple product lines including custom websites, back-end systems, customer care systems and nightly batch processes

? Ensure PCI compliance with major credit card issuers and Sarbanes Oxley compliance

? Manage relationships with Tier 1 network providers and Co-location providers

? Monitor and report on site availability and performance for multiple web applications

? Work closely with the Director of Engineering on application architecture and application management issues

? Work closely with the Manager of Database Operations to support database administration and data warehouses

? Manage a SAN environment for storage

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

 Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environmentStrong business leadership, management and engineering experienceStrong technical and architecture skillsExcellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technicalAbility to lead, facilitate, and participate in a cross-functional team environment7+ years industry experience in web operations with at least 3+ years with application management responsibilityA proven track record of managing large-scale consumer facing, highly available systemsExperience managing environments that include Flash, J2EE and Oracle


MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 4 year college degree or equivalent work experienceExperience managing high-volume consumer websites
