Division Director, Enterprise Technology Services Department

In both 2005 and 2006, Miami Dade County's Enterprise Technology Services Department has ranked among Computerworld's 100 best places to work in IT!  Currently, we are seeking five Program Directors to develop and execute effective strategies in the implementation of the following enterprise initiatives:

Geographic Information; Equipment Asset Management; Electronic Document Management; Digital Government; and Community Response (3-1-1 / 9-1-1 technologies).

 

Responsibilities include:

Implementation and advancement of enterprise programs to ensure alignment with business and departmental strategic plans and operations; Development of a program plan and roadmap specific to the program; Oversight and direction of a core team and matrix organizations; Development of funding strategies, design of proposals and presentations to the County's IT Leadership Council; Collaboration with and development of Service Level Agreements for support areas such as network, security, etc.; Promotion and marketing of the enterprise program.

 

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five to ten years of progressively responsible professional information technology management experience to include strategic, tactical and operational planning as well as development of operational and capital budgets is required. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated ability in working with diverse business units and teams in support of information technology program plans; managing vendors demonstrating top-notch negotiation, mediation and contract management skills; and overseeing project management practices in a matrix environment.
