Must have an active Secret level Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance

Location:  Suffolk VA

 

Education Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in any disciplineOr, a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in any discipline and three years related experience in addition to the specific experience listed in paragraph 2 below.Graduate of the Joint Forces Staff College or Service/agency equivalent.

 

2. Desired Experience: A minimum of 7 years specific and related experience inclusive of the following. Five years experience in military operations, including current experience in the Joint Doctrine Development SystemExperience in researching, reviewing, analyzing, developing and revising joint doctrine.Experience with developing joint, multinational, or Service doctrine and TTP.Experience in developing and presenting briefings.Experience in researching and developing special studies.Experience with joint, multinational, and Service staff organization, functions, and procedures.Experience on a joint staffExperience as a planner.Experience in reviewing and analyzing emerging joint operational issues and reporting relevant or potential changes.Experience in observing joint exercises and real-world operations in accordance with data collection plans, to include conducting interviews with exercise and real-world participants.

 

3.  Required to travel in support of joint exercises and training of units for operations. Normal duration of trips is not more than 2-weeks.

 

4.  Support to Doctrine Development:Develop draft joint doctrine publications for the US and NATO Conduct doctrine assessmentsConduct front-end analysis of doctrine proposals.Use information gained through assessment results and analyses of lessons learned and recommend solutions for identified gaps, seams, and errors in joint doctrine.Participate as a member of joint training and exercise After Action Review teamsObserve training events to provide input for incorporation in emerging joint doctrine. Conduct special studies on doctrine related topics.Prepare and present briefingsFacilitate the resolution of differing opinions on the wording in joint doctrine publications
