We are searching for a seasoned Documentation Writer to join our Chino, Ca. team. 

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the creation of our user documentation that describes all aspects of Alorica software products and services, and maintain existing user documentation. Document and analyze current software processes, workflows, and functionality to produce documentation for use by Alorica?s software development and software support teams. The Documentation Writer ensures accurate and complete documentation through a collaborative teamwork focus.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

?  Develops and documents technical, training and process(SOP) documents

?  Maintains existing user documentation

?  Creating new help files and documentation for new products

?  Produces and delivers documentation projects while adhering to department standards.

?  Contributes to creation of documentation standards and documentation specifications of a limited scope.

?  Helps develop and maintain standards for quality documentation.

?  Write/compile  proposals and RFP/RFI responses (involves gathering information, proofreading, editing, verifying costs and formatting)

?  Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

?  Bachelor?s degree in English, Journalism, or related degree preferred.

?  At least three years documentation writing experience.

?  At least one year in a software development environment.

?  Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

?  Knowledge of web architectures and web-based software.

?  Good understanding of the software development process (SDLC).

?  Must be able to interface both efficiently and effectively with technical/training staff

?  Independently drive documentation projects to ensure milestones are achieved according to project schedules

?  Ability to own special projects that contribute to the overall improvement of the technical writing process.

?  Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

?  Self-motivated, requiring minimal oversight.

?  Knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Office, Visio, and other Microsoft software documentation tools.
