EPIC / HL7 Interface-Programmer Analyst - Ohio

The Interface Analyst at Kaiser Permanente will work with local and national team members to understand, submit, track and validate Environment requests, which includes refreshing test environments, redirecting test interfaces/upgrades and updating codes for production.

As an Interface Analyst you will monitor and resolve EPIC Bridge interface errors; provide knowledgeable and timely 24x7 on-call production support, with some evenings and weekends for planned outages for upgrades (duties will rotate within core group of 3 peers); follow the change management process for production interface changes, and record each using a central change log. You will also propose plans to improve the availability and efficiency of Environment activities; and learn and actively participate in Kaiser Permanente Health Care interface design and analysis processes.

Requirements for this position include strong working experience with HL7 interfaces, health care systems and workflows; the ability to thrive in a high-energy, process-driven environment with local and national teams; solid personal skills in communication, teamwork, collaboration and time management; and the ability to analyze the current interfaces, understand the new requirements with business partners and work with the in-house developers, vendors and EPIC to establish new interfaces and ensure connectivity within the environments.

Preferred qualifications include certification and strong working skills with EPIC applications including Bridges, Clarity and Chronicles; and a working knowledge of MQ Series and IP networking.

Kaiser Permanente HealthConnect is an integrated clinical and administrative information management system that integrates the patients electronic medical record with their appointments, registration and billing information.
