ERP Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software. Analyze user needs and design software solutions for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Develop, evaluate, implement, and configure applications software as determined necessary by LION Apparel. Provide functional expertise to support continued improvement and usage of the ERP applications used by Lion Apparel. Develop, initiate and maintain user procedures necessary for operating the computer applications. Modify Oracle custom code, forms and reports that will change operational procedures as defined by a project.Identify when user training of applications is required and suggest appropriate courses. Be responsible for the second level support of Oracle Help Desk issues for applications. This includes research of transaction problems to identify root cause, utilize Oracle Metalink to determine if similar problems have occurred previously and the fixes required to resolve, coordinate with Oracle Support Services to identify need for changes to Oracle code, and install changes into the production systems.Assist with preparation and maintenance of proper systems documentation. Keep current in related information systems and processes/technologies in order to make recommendations for improvement as appropriate. Assist with Oracle version upgrades to assure conformity to ongoing functional operations. This will include selection and set up of new features, data cleansing, archiving, testing, training of Business Analysts, and participation in the implementation of a new release. Develop reports too complex for the typical user to create with the Discoverer reporting tool. Perform similar or related duties to help meet the identified needs of internal and external customers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Ability to organize and administer daily work activities. Minimum 5 years experience in Information Processing. 2+ years experience in the support of functional applications such as Human Resources, Finance, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Functional knowledge of software utilized by LION Apparel. Oracle ERP applications PL/SQLJAVAProject Management and prioritization skills. Excellent written and oral communications skills. The ability to interact with customers, superiors, peers and subordinates in a professional manner.

BS Degree or equivalent in Information Systems or related field.
