ERP Integration Architect

Oracle JD Edwards Integration Architect

 

Apex Systems is looking for a strong development architect to design, develop and support our client's ERP system interfaces within the enterprise. This is a newly created ?high visibility? position that will be part of our multi-year global single instance ERP implementation (Oracle JDE EnterpiseOne 8.11).  This position demands that the successful candidate be a seasoned development architect who is able to interact with a cross functional project team to design, develop and support integration services including varying from basic FTP-based processes to real-time XML/SOAP based Web Services and near-real-time batch interfaces.

 

Essential Functions:

? Be part of a larger ERP implementation team (50+ team members)

? Architect and manage the optimal solutions for integrating the ERP system with external applications, both inside and outside the enterprise

? Operate within the time, cost and technology boundaries set by the project

? Hands-on approach to design, development and deployment of proposed solutions

? Create detailed technical design and interface specification documents and ensure that specifications meet the ?true? business needs

? Liaison between multiple technical and functional resources

? Work closely with other project team members such as Business Analysts, Software Developers, Quality Assurance resources, Project Managers

? Lead / Participate in code reviews

? Develop guidelines and coding standards based on best practices.

? Ensure high quality by actively participating in QA planning and implementation

? Excellent software design skills with demonstrated knowledge of industry-accepted design patterns

? Ensure end product meets or exceeds the specified standards and end-user requirements

? May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

 

Required Expertise:

? ERP system implementation and integration (preferably with JD Edwards products)

? Integration/Interface architecture and technical design specification

? Design of object-oriented solutions for reusability and ease of maintenance

? Programming knowledge of in area of C++, Java, EJB, JDBC, JavaScript, ColdFusion, etc

? Understanding of relational databases (Oracle) and database tools (i.e. SQL Plus, TOAD)

? Project management and Software Development Lifecycle (PMP certification preferred)

 

Desired Expertise:

? EAI middleware solution implementation (i.e. webMethods, Tibco)

? Java Dynamic Connector

? Developing Java based XML Web Services solutions

? Good working knowledge of XML and XML-related tools (XML binding and parsing)

? Development of transaction based applications focused on ERP and eCommerce

? Working knowledge of Windows and UNIX development environments

? Experience with J2EE Application Servers (i.e. Websphere App Server)

? Proficiency with software revision control systems (i.e. Perforce)

? Experience with load testing strategy and software (i.e. Mercury LoadRunner)

? Familiarity with High-Availability / High-Volume systems

 

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor degree in IT, Marketing, Business or other related field.

 

Experience:

4+ years in integration or similar software development role

 

Additional Requirements:

? Proven track record of completing integration projects on-time

? Good communicator, written and verbal.  Ability to communicate technical information to a mixed audience (I.T. and business staff)

? Effective, able to work across functional groups to meet aggressive schedules

Working Conditions:

Works in an office environment.  Occasional travel may be required
