ES001 System Administrator/Web Developer

ADNET Systems, Inc., based in Rockville, MD, brings over 14 years of experience to information systems and professional services for the federal government. With a history of expertise in software development, computer network design, IT security, mission operations support, and educational outreach, ADNET has now expanded into space and Earth science at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD. ADNET will work with Goddard Space Flight Center to fulfill NASA?s vision for space exploration and work with the Science and Exploration Directorate to fulfill its many missions.

Currently, ADNET Systems, Inc. has the following position available. All applicants must be US citizens.

ES001 System Administrator/Web Developer
? Maintain/update various Earth Science Data and Information System (ESDIS) web sites
? Daily monitoring of all systems to ensure superior performance.
? Upgrade and patch operating systems and applications.
? Analyze and address IT security issues.
? Define and maintain system backup activities.
? Provide user assistance.
? Assist in hardware/software setup and configuration.
? Work with NASA/GSFC to address computer facility issues and conduct security audits.
? Perform backup DBA duties

Requirements:
? 2 years: Ability to perform computer system administration tasks (installation, configuration of software, patching, security) with focus on Linux, Windows.
? Ability to design, develop and maintain web sites
? Ability to code repetitive tasks using shell scripts and/or a scripting languages
? Good English communication skills
