ETL Manager for Entrepreneurial Dot-Com

ETL Manager wanted to join entrepreneurial and successful dot-com.


SUMMARY:

As the ETL Manager you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the data management and movement functions of the data warehouse.  Your work must be high quality, bug-free and highly scalable. You will be responsible for developing innovative solutions and providing responsive operational support.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manages the ETL team and ETL functions within the Data Warehouse group
* Assist team members in developing complex ETL using Informatica, SQL and UNIX Shell Scripts to meet data load requirements of business
* Supervision, development, evaluation and training of ETL team
* Provide technical leadership and consider long-range technical issues
* Forecast the completion dates and reliably delivering against those estimates for projects and work requests
* Allocation of team members to projects and work requests to ensure project schedules are met
* Interface with business users, project managers and technical teams to define requirements and specifications
* Technically Responsible for
-Quality of the Deliverables
-ETL performance and scalability
-Daily load operations
*Work with the Data Warehouse Reporting team, Web Engineering team and Business Systems team to understand data sources and implement new requirements


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor or higher degree desired
* 5+ yrs ETL design and architecture experience using Informatica
* Superb knowledge of SQL, Unix and RDBMS
* 5+ yrs. of Star Schema / Snowflake modeling and Data Warehouse Methodology
* Real-world experience in implementing large scale data warehouses
* Experience leading Data Warehouse initiatives and ETL teams
* Able to work in a fast-changing fast-paced environment
* Able to fully understand the business process and apply technical solutions
* Excellent communications skills
* Experience writing technical documentation
* Capacity to work with business users and technical team members
