Electronic Engineer

Electronic Engineer Description: Volt is looking for a talented Electronic Engineer to join our team. This is a 4 to 6 month contract with our client located in DuPont, WA.

All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

The candidate will be part of a team chartered with architecting, developing and enabling internal and Third Party Vendor development of observability solutions for the future high speed links/buses critical to continued success.

The candidate will participate with senior architects in the definition and driving of architectural-level/high level link bus observability solutions and directions for future high speed busses, often working and driving ratification with both internal and external stakeholders; candidate will be expected to execute challenging implementation-level designs on some products, and/or provide high-level guidance to junior engineers to execute all or part of these designs.




Requirements:
10 years minimum experience

1. Hardware architecture (high level design) experience in moderate to high complexity electronics systems.

2. Must have proven hardware design skills in development of these types of systems, as well as experience with hardware design tools.

3. Experience in researching and translating customer requirements into observability solution definitions and into low level board implementation details (partitioning, place and route constraints, schematics, power distribution, thermo-mechanicals etc) is a must.

4. Candidate should be used to working within a defined process and working with and reviewing output with other engineers (mfg, EE, ME) iteratively during the design cycle.

5. Candidate should be comfortable working with ambiguity and driving to solutions without fully defined constraint sets.

6. Candidate must have the ability to write design validation/debug strategies and test plans and on occasion execute the test plans. Strong written and verbal communication and publication skills are needed to clearly communicate complex technical problems and solutions to a variety of Intel and external management, technical and non-technical audiences.
Understanding board design manufacturing processes a plus.
